How does ONTEC AI suppress so-called AI hallucinations?

ONTEC AI is based on a RAG-system which is the foundation of hallucinations suppression. Three values form a kind of “triangle” of safety that indicates how reliable the answer is:

• Validity: Takes a value from –1 to +1 and expresses how certain we are that the given answer is found in the sources. Usually there is a “hard” jump: values under 0.7 often drop around to 0.4.
• Usefulness: Takes a value from –1 to +1 and expresses how certain we are that the formulated answer actually answers the request. This ensures the model doesn’t just talk about something irrelevant.
• Relevance: Takes a value from –1 to +1. This value is determined for each source and indicates how certain we are that the found source is actually relevant to the request. Here this value may be somewhat lower.
